Coaching with a roadmap to happiness

Coaching with a roadmap to happiness

One thing I am passionate about is how our mind works, especially our subconscious, and how we can leverage its power to turbo boost changes in our life… and I actually have amazing tools to do just that. Unfortunately I have noticed many times that the problem lies in clients not knowing what changes they want to make in the first place, so there is not much to turbo-boost at all…

Boosting the mind is not enough

The turbo-boosting technique I am using, called PSYCH-K®, is a way to program the subconscious mind with positive self enhancing beliefs, a little bit like hypnosis. And a PSYCH-K® session revolves around this question: What does your life look like now and how would you like to have it instead? From this questioning we can easily identify beliefs that would be useful to have in order to bridge that gap in the quickest and easiest way possible. Download these beliefs in the subconscious and they will run in auto-pilot to support the goal. As if your goal was your destination, your subconscious mind your GPS and you are using PSYCH-K® to program it with the quickest itinerary.

But here is the frustrating bit: Some of my clients do not really know what they want in life, of life, from life…. All they know is that they are not fulfilled with what they have now, but clueless about what they want instead. So we only have half of the equation. How do you make up an itinerary to a destination that is not there? How do I help people like this? What do we download in the GPS? Of course there will always be limiting beliefs we can transform into supporting ones. It is useful, but it is going to be difficult to measure the impact of that change. Indeed, let’s say you run a 100m in 35’, you go train to run faster, then come back to run the 100m again, except they have removed the finish line. How will you ever know you are running faster? Changing your limiting beliefs will create a potential, but without a finishing goal to reach out how will you realise it is actually making a difference in your life?

A blueprint for happiness?

So how do I help my indecisive clients to know better? One thing I would assume we all want more of in life is happiness and fulfilment. But how do we know something makes us happy and fulfilled unless we try it? Some people are lucky they had a taste early in life of their happy triggers, do not give up on them as a lot of us do under social pressure, and give a good shot at it in their adult life. Some people might just take a guess and launch themselves into something that turns out to be a great match for them. Some people bloody well know what would make them happy but are convinced otherwise by the nagging voice of societal norm and settle for less. Some people try different things but are running out of time or money and maybe even ideas so they settle for something that pays the bills, and if they are lucky they might have enough time and cash for their hobbies to balance out the happiness ratio. Indeed, how many shots can we get at trying things to find what makes us truly happy while paying our bills? What if the universe could save us some time and hassle and send us a mail with the exact recipe of how to be happy and fulfilled? Our own personalized recipe, totally unique and tailored to us?

I think I have found how to download this personalised roadmap to happiness. It’s called Soul Realignment® and it describes our Soul’s personality so we can align to it in real life. Indeed, what better way to find happiness than expressing who we truly are? I mean who we truly are beyond social conditioning and categorisations, besides the roles we assign to ourselves, underneath the layers of beliefs we accumulate to cope with society. I mean who we truly are at Soul level.

That is the point where you should stop reading if you do not believe that we all are spiritual beings having a human experience. (I probably should have put a disclaimer at the top of the article, apologies…). If the concept even remotely makes a bit of sense to you, imagine that if you knew your Soul’s intrinsic qualities (what it is made of and what it is good at) then all that would be left for you to do is to make choices that support the expression of these qualities.

The gifts you did not even know you had

What is your Soul’s main personality trait? Compassion, creation, order, love, self-expression, truth, power or wisdom? What main “theme” did your Soul choose to experience in this lifetime? Would that not help to find out so we can map a proper itinerary towards our own happiness? For example if your Soul is gifted for self-expression, then you will be more aligned to who you are in communication and teaching rather than let’s say sitting behind a computer all day. Maybe that is precisely what you are doing and you are not happy but you have no idea what else to do, so knowing your Soul can lead you to make simple adjustments that can replenish your fulfilment tank: maybe there is a position in your company’s training department you can apply for and start educating others? Maybe you can start volunteering in an association teaching computer skills to elderly people? These are just examples of small stepping stones, because small adjustments like these will “feed” you with that rewarding feeling of doing what is right for you. This is nourishing to your soul and increases your vital force energy. This is what will give you the courage to follow your heart even further and make more life changing decisions as you know deep down within yourself that it is what you are “built” for. See, maybe you do not have to quit your job and embrace a koala catching career in Australia just yet to find happiness? By the way, yes, they are looking for koala catchers over there… (google “Australia’s weirdest jobs” if you do not believe me)… but be reassured, little adjustments well aligned to your soul blueprint will go a long way.

Soul realignment® allows me to draw a portrait of your Soul, to know your Soul’s personality with its gifts and qualities, and also clear the blocks and restrictions that have kept you so far from expressing these traits. My hope is that with this tool I can help you have more awareness about who you are at soul level and that with some coaching support I can help you come up with clear action plans to make definite changes in your life. Once we have that mapped out, then we can use PSYCH-K® to program your subconscious GPS to get you there as quickly and easily as humanly possible.

PSYCH-K®, Bruce and the Petri Dish…

PSYCH-K®, Bruce and the Petri Dish…

PSYCH-K®, Bruce and the Petri dish: A tale of change.

It all started with Bruce. Bruce Lipton. And his Petri dish. What he discovered in it and how he put it together in his best seller “The Biology of Belief”.

When I read it 6 years ago I went from Hmm, to Ahh… to OMG! And it helped me understand why I wasn’t getting where I wanted to in life, and how I could start changing it. Here are my breakthrough moments, and how it helped me change my life.

“Hmm” moment: contrarily to common belief, when you remove all its DNA from a cell, the cell does NOT die, it keeps living and working as per its design. So the DNA does not control the behaviour of the cell, it is merely the blueprint to manufacture its spare parts. The only reason why cells without DNA are dying is because their parts cannot be repaired or replaced when they wear off.

“Ahh” Moment: because he was cloning stem cells, Bruce could take strictly identical cells and put them into different Petri dishes, each in a different environment. Each cell, even though it had the exact same DNA, grew into something different depending on the environment they were put in. A cell growing in a nutritious environment was thriving. The exact same cell with the exact same DNA growing in a hostile environment was dying.

“Oh My God” Moment: when I put it together: the behaviour and health of a cell does not depend on its DNA, it depends on its environment. We as human beings are a collection of billions of cells. Our behaviour and health does not depend on our DNA, it depends on the environment we live in, and the environment we live in is only as good as WE PERCEIVE IT TO BE.

What’s YOUR Experience?

Do you perceive your environment to be loving and nurturing or to be unfriendly and hostile ?

We see our environment through a multitude of “sieves”, filters, put in place by our brain to avoid us being overloaded with information. There is only so much we are able to process consciously. If our mind was not constantly screening all the information we receive second-by-second from our environment, we would short-circuit! So it habitually selects which information is relevant to us, and which isn’t. We are not aware of this selection, and we are not aware of what is left behind as a result of it.

And what are the selection criteria? Where do they come from?

How come some people seem to have more luck then others, why some people seem to come across great opportunities, make good choices and succeed more than others? Are some people cursed and others blessed?

Depending on the selection criteria through which our brains screens in or out the information from our environment – the sieves or filters through which we see our world – what is allowed into our awareness can be constantly positive, supporting & nurturing or constantly limiting, self sabotaging & even destructive. It is not a question of luck or misfortune, or of curse or blessing. It’s a question of which filters our brain is using to screen all the information we are constantly bombarded with from our surroundings.

What does your brain allow you to notice? How are you screening life? Do you notice the rain or the rainbow? Do you notice that the bus is late or the smile of the bus driver when he apologizes for the delay? When your brain has a positive filter it will urge you to pick up the newspaper where that ad for the job of your dreams is. It will make you turn left instead of right on the street where you will bump into that old friend you haven’t seen in years. It will make you talk to that stranger who will become your loving life-long partner, etc… When your brain has negative filters, at best you are just missing out on great opportunities. At the worst you are attracting into your awareness failure and havoc.

Can We Really Change?

Can we teach our brain to screen the good stuff in and leave the bad stuff out? Can we change the filters through which we see the world? These filters are our beliefs, our subconscious beliefs, the ones we don’t know we have and yet dictate what our brain is allowing us to notice and experience. Do you believe the Universe to be a friendly place? If so you might notice the rainbow more so than the rain. If you are constantly noticing the rain and the late bus, but never the rainbow nor the smile of the bus driver, you might have negative filters, negative beliefs you inherited from your past experiences, your parents, teachers, etc… And that might deprive you from amazing opportunities, & put you in situations where you will fade instead of thrive, like the cell in the wrong Petri dish.

Can we check the quality of our filters? Can we change them if they are no longer supporting us?

Then again, Bruce gave me the answer, right in his book:

“The ‘secret of life’ is BELIEF. Rather than genes, it is our beliefs that control our lives, PSYCH-K® is a set of simple, self-empowering processes to change your beliefs and perceptions that impact your life at a cellular level.” (Bruce Lipton, PhD, cellular biologist, world renowned author of Biology of Belief.)

PSYCH-K in Ireland

I trained in PSYCH-K in Ireland 5 years ago, and it was the “beginning of the rest of my life”. I now have the understanding that when negativity pops up in my awareness, it is merely the reflection of a perception I have, and I now have the tool to change it, to change the belief that is causing that perception, I now have the ability to basically change my Petri dish. And I am trained to help you do the same.

So if your life does not reflect the positive and fulfilling scenario you are looking for, ask yourself what do you believe that is affecting how you perceive your environment and how your life is reflected back to you.

And I will finish with one word of advice: monitoring our perceptions starts by looking after our thoughts, because our thoughts become our beliefs so the way we think all day everyday impacts the programming of your subconscious mind and the quality of our Petri Dish. We all have negative programming from our childhood years, and PSYCH-K® is a quick and effective way to change it, but it is also up to us as adults to step in and change our conscious ways of thinking to actively write a different scenario in our life. As Henry Ford said “Whether you believe you can or you believe you can’t, you are right.”

I’m a builder!

I’m a builder!

Do you remember as a kid what you wanted to do when you grew up? What’s your job now? Are you getting up every morning to embody one of your childhood fanstasies?

There were lots of things I was interested in when I was a kid, and I didn’t pursue any of them, well that’s what I thought for a long time… but it’s not true, and only recently did I realise that many of the passions, interests or hobbies I had as a child, I actually got to experience, practice or work at as an adult.

Let’s start by the obvious one. I had a passion for horses, which wasn’t an “acceptable” career opportunity (so I’d been told over and over) so I made an educated choice: studying law to get a good job that would support this expensive hobby. So I got to University. It didn’t work. Boredom took over and 4 years, a degree and a blown fuse later, I ended working at my passion for horses full time. Passion had taken over reason. (Whether it was a good idea is another story…).

While I was working in the horse-racing industry, which I thought was going to be my life forever, I developed new interests. I studied human anatomy and physiology (only because I hadn’t found a course on horses’ biology), and as it happens, massage was part of that course and even though I only did it because it was there… sort of… I realised I liked it and this opened up the door to many other courses and trainings, some of which I’ve used, some of which I haven’t, but when I look back I’m stunned to see that they nearly all can relate to some childhood interests.

When I started my massage course, I had never even had a massage myself before, never mind given one… so I thought. But it wasn’t true, I had completely forgotten about it but when we were teenagers my friends would always ask me to massage their backs at the beach. They loved it and I always was the “designated volunteer” for the job. And you know what? I think I liked it too.

I have trained in multiple energy healing modalities, rooted in different spiritual traditions, and it even is a miracle I slipped down that road, having been such a strong “atheist-there’s-nothing-out-there-your-body-feeds-the-worms-when-you-die-and-that’s-it” type of person. Yes, I’ve come a long way… but I only had become that way over years of narrow minded catechism that didn’t make sense to me. When I think of it, at an earlier age as a child I was fascinated by all things “esoterical” (by lack of a better word). And I reconnected with that fascination for the unknown, that “knowing of something bigger yet not sure of what it is” over these all so varied healing modalities I studied as an adult.

Among these modalities is also crystal healing, and as a child I was always attracted by gemstones, all these shapes and colours, anything that looked like a stalagtite or a stalagmite was fascinating to me… But my mum thought they looked so tacky she wouldn’t let me bring some home if her life depended on it. (she has good taste and somehow amethysts and heart shaped rose quartz weren’t “fitting in”).

It’s funny how I’d forgotten a lot of my childhood’s interests…

I also studied plantar reflexology… this one I haven’t forgotten the missing childhood link, because it’s the most unlikely. My mum loves having her feet rubbed, and when I was younger, every time we would be sitting watching TV, she’d put her feet on my lap (to be fair it was on whoever lap were available, I didn’t have the monopole), and wiggle them until they would be rubbed… by whoever victim was under them. And I absolutely HATED it!!! I hated her feet and I thought I would never ever touch one after I left home and look at me now, fully qualified reflexologist…

You are probably wondering “where the hell is she going with all this?”
Here is the thing: while I’d picked my “career choice” I couldn’t help but regret one. At that time of my teenage years, I don’t think I even suspected I was interested in that other “thing”. And what’s that thing you wonder? … Building. Yes… you read it right. I’d always been fascinated by building sites, huge machinery, gigantic holes in the ground, steel sticking out etc… could watch a JCB dig holes for hours… But never in a million years would I ever have thought of a career choice in that industry. Because I was so brainwashed that Law was THE answer… And then while I was bored in University I would envy some of my friends or friends’ brothers gone into civil engineering. Around that time I often regretted that I hadn’t pushed my maths and physics to go into a scientific section in high school and at least have had the option to do something else…. Who knows, once in it maybe I would’ve hated it! Or maybe I would’ve sucked at it! But at the time you have to make these choices, around what… 15, 16 years old?… who meditates their way to their soul purpose? Bottom line is… I would’ve loved building and I didn’t get a chance to.

… or did I?

Today I am a holistic therapist but part time I am also working in the network marketing profession. Promoting outstanding quality Essential Oils, educating people, helping them to buy at the best price, supporting them in how they use their oils, helping them change their lifestyle, and possibly share and promote like me as well if that’s what they want to. I get paid commissions by the company for helping people to buy at the best possible price, which complements my income. And do you know how people doing this are actually called?

…. BUILDERS….

No joke. It daunted on me a couple of months ago. We are actually called Business Builders. We are that fraction of customers of the company who is choosing to build a business and generate income with a product we are using and recommending around anyway.

I don’t know if other companies refer to their distributors as “Builders”, but among all companies out there I could have become distributor for, funny enough I picked the one who does: we say you can be a user (simply a customer), a sharer (someone who also spreads the word, which gets them a bit of money to pay for their oils), or a full blown Builder, someone who might retire their husband in just 2 to 5 years; which is the true story of my “upline” Becky, whose 4 years of “building” lead to her husband retiring from his plumbing business (ironically he’s the one who was working on building sites to begin with…).

And as I’m writing this article I remember something else: guess what… for years my favourite toys were… Lego Technics. I would spend hours building yellow plastic machines… and now I am a Builder. Was that childhood finding a way to catch up on me?

What’s next? I also loved dinosaurs when I was young…
I’ll keep you posted on that one… 😉

If you too are longing for building… send me an email to know what it takes 😉
